Valve System User Manual
NT Auto Performance valved exhaust systems use an electronic valve control unit designed for reliable daily use. Please read this guide before installation or operation to ensure proper function and long-term durability.
Valve Motor & Wiring Overview
For most dual-exit exhaust setups, your system includes two valve motors, mounted on the left and right rear sections of the exhaust. These motors open and close the valves through a connected control box.
During installation, it is very important to manage the wiring properly:
• Route the wiring cleanly and avoid sharp edges
• Do not stretch, pull, pinch, or overly tighten the wires
• Secure the wiring with zip ties so it does not hang or move excessively
Improper routing will not create a safety hazard, but it may lead to loose connections, causing the valve to stop responding temporarily.
Power Supply (USB Connection)
The valve controller is powered through a standard USB plug, not a cigarette lighter or hardwired connection.
Most vehicles have USB ports inside the trunk or near the rear seats.
You may simply plug the controller’s USB cable into any 5V USB port.
If your car does not have a trunk USB port, the installer may:
• Route the cable to a rear-seat USB port
• Use a hidden USB adapter wired to an OEM accessory circuit
No cutting, soldering, or special wiring is required—USB power is all you need.
Remote Controls
Each kit includes two wireless remote controllers.
They allow you to switch the valve between:
• OPEN — loud, aggressive, performance tone
• CLOSE — quiet, near-OEM comfort
Please store the remotes carefully.
If lost, replacements require international shipping and are not free. Delivery time will be similar to the exhaust system shipping time.
Remote Battery
The remote uses a small internal battery (typically lasts around 3 years).
When the buttons feel weak or unresponsive, simply replace the battery with the same type.
Placement & Safety Tips
For best long-term function:
• Do not place heavy items directly on the USB plug or valve controller
• Avoid messy or tightly packed luggage around the wiring
• Occasional light contact is fine, but constant pressure or repeated impact may cause the connector to loosen
• Secure the control box using zip ties or adhesive pads (installers can do this easily)
Troubleshooting
Valve not opening/closing
• Check that the USB plug is fully inserted
• Ensure the USB port is powered
• Make sure luggage is not pressing against the plug or wiring
• Replace the remote battery if the signal weakens
